
Deputy Director, Virtual Power Plants
The Deputy Director for Virtual Power Plants will lead and manage the distributed Energy Storage, VPP, and Clean Transportation teams within the Division of Clean Energy, reporting to the Director. Responsibilities include overseeing VPP capacity procurement, managing distributed energy storage and clean transportation programs, advising Commissioners on clean energy initiatives, managing budgets for VPPs and related programs, leveraging federal funds, and representing the BPU at local, regional, and national conferences.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a STEM field preferred
5–8 years of experience in clean energy, environment, utility, or sustainability, with emphasis on large renewable energy projects and distributed energy resources
Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills required
